My Best Prefered Free Partition Manager also for Windows 10 and SMART error status reader

It's easy, i need a free partition manager to delete a recovery partition on a one terrabyte hard drive i took from a damaged laptop. Easy to use, does all you need with any hard drive and it's easy to remember or recognize that its names is "Mini Tool", with colors red and black, some would say red wine colour like bull blood and black.

Enjoy!

If you need to check hard drive status, i recommend hhd scan to check S.M.A.R.T. status of disk:ç

 It's also free and exists sonce many years now :-) Congratz!!!

If you see no yellow flags on SMART report, hard drive is ok.
If you see any error yellow flag make a backup of all data you have there.
Depending on use it can last even one year or more.
I'm using "broken" hardrives to store some old movies i had and i won't be too sad to lose.

If you see a yellow flag on Ultra DMA CRC Error count they say hard drive has no inminent failure, but for sure it's not so fresh, so pay attention to it and make a backup of data you care:

And if you see error on Reallocated Sectors, then backup is urgent. Even if you still can use hardrive probably you will start to lose some data, it will disappear, and other errors can happen, but what is said is that hard drive will fail for sure:

"Funny thing" is that hard drives with such smart report errors can aparently work fine, i mean that we won't listen to any sound from inside the hard drive, no hammer sounds :-) but maybe it is slower than usual, maybe it gets really but really hot if you try to copy more than 100GBs :-)

So you may suspect something is wrong by speed, temperatura or files missing, or even files you cannot delete. Usualy you cannot delete files due to permissions, to owner of files, right click on file, go to security tab, advanced options, look for owner and change it to your Windows user, also add your user name and set full control. Done that you should be abble to delete that file. Else try with a linux live cd. Or copy all content you can and delete partition with Mini Tool Partition Manager or Windows Disk Manager. What cannot be done with Windows Disk Manager can be done with Mini Tool :-)

Ah! is hard drive goes slow, maybe is your computer that goes alow and maybe it's a virus, so check if you are infected with free housecall antivirus, one time scan;
